Mark Berube has a broad and eclectic base from which to build his albums, all bound together by his warmly potent voice. Kristina Koropecki, Berube’s co-conspirator, adds layers of cello, autoharp, saw and a classical music vocabulary to the mix, resulting in rich, lush and adventurous sonic landscapes. The two talented musicians, along with bassist Stephane Petrocca, graced the stage of Winnipeg’s West End Cultural Centre on a cold February night a couple of weeks ago. Local alt-country heart-throbs The Bros. Landreth opened. Take a look!
